IT TAKES A VILLAGE...
The Greater Lynn Photographic Association is a group of photo-hobbyists dedicated to "teaching the craft of the camera and exploring the art of photography." The membership is made up of people with varied skills ranging from young adults to retirees. Membership is open to everyone, and neither a photographic portfolio, nor fancy camera equipment is required.

In 1997 the Association purchased and remodeled an old school house. This new facility is handicapped accessible with convenient off-street parking. Extensive print display capabilities and a 12' x 12' screen are complemented by a quality sound system making viewing and listening a pleasure.

Beyond regular programming, GLPA members have a tradition of involvement with junior high, high school, and adults in local communities. A number of these projects receive support from outside grants. Of particular note is the Greater Lynn International, which brings the work of photographers from around the world to audiences in the area.

All Monday night programs and workshop / discussion nights begin at 7:30PM September through May. Doors open approximately at 6:45PM. Come early to chat or to browse our library. Guests are always welcome. Highlights of our year include the member mini show, annual photo course, annual auction, December holiday and June banquets, Greater Lynn International, instructional programs, print and slide competitions, digital competitions, and workshops.
